It seems the holidays can be summed up in one word: Tradition. I am a sucker for traditions, old and new. I look forward to my family traditions, especially this time of year.
The tradition that kicks off the holiday season for the Laniels is eating pumpkin pie, drinking coffee and watching Elf the Friday after Thanksgiving. Brian and I just finished year 5 of this gloriously delicious and perfectly delightful tradition.
Even though we sorta make ourselves sick, and we can quote every line from Elf ("SANTA!?!? I KNOW HIM!!!!!!!!!!") it is a tradition that marks the beginning of the most wonderful time of year.
