I couldn't let this weekend go by without wishing my amazing mom a Happy Mother's Day.
I love my mom for many reasons.
As I try to list them here, I keep coming back to the same theme of her fierce, deep, consistent, unwavering love for her children.
We are her "little chicks" and we have been cared for in the most significant ways possible.
I am so grateful that I have so many of her great qualities as a part of who I am. Because of her I love rearranging furniture and using lots of color in my house, I am obsessed with flowers and I learned at a very young age to not go to bed without washing my face. I will forever think of her when I make molasses cookies at Christmas and when I eat Russel Stover chocolate-covered marshmallow bunnies at Easter. She knows what she likes and this has been passed on to me.
I love you, mom.
Your love for me does not go unnoticed and I am so very grateful for you.
